Events
ECRV 4703 attends local events to support community organizations and demonstrate the communication capability of the truck; and to promote the American Red Cross and volunteerism. These events may include amateur radio events & field day, community parades and displays, emergency agency command vehicle rallies, and many others.
If you think the ECRV would make a positive addition
to your event and the event is located within a reasonable distance to
Prince William County, VA please contact the ECRV coordinator,
Patty Gilham, to request the
truck for your event. Please note that fuel costs for the ECRV as
well as food
and lodging for operators, if appropriate, will be the responsibility of
the requesting organization outside of the Prince William Chapter area.
All event requests are handled by ECRV 4703 Coordinator, Patty Gilham,
and are determined based on truck availability and the purpose of the
event. All events will be staffed with at least two ECRV
operators for the truck.
All event participation will be cancelled if ECRV 4703 is deployed for a
Disaster Relief Operation.
